Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 on Rent in Tapovan, Rishikesh
The Guerrilla is the Himalayan 450's engine dropped into something lighter, lower and considerably more fun on tarmac.
Same 452cc liquid-cooled Sherpa single — 40 horsepower, 40 newton-metres, six gears, ride-by-wire. But it sits on 17-inch wheels at both ends, weighs 11 kg less than the Himalayan, and puts the seat 45 mm closer to the ground. It's a roadster. It changes direction the moment you ask it to.
On the road to Devprayag, or the long sweepers up to Tehri, or the switchbacks to Kunjapuri at six in the morning with nobody else awake, nothing else in our yard is as good.

Who It's For
Take the Guerrilla if:
- You can ride, and you want the best tarmac bike we have
- Your route is Devprayag, Tehri, Kunjapuri, Mussoorie, Dhanaulti — paved hill road with corners
- You want 450 power without the Himalayan's height and weight
- You're on the shorter side but want a big-bore bike — 780 mm is the lowest seat of any 350cc-plus machine we rent
- You've outgrown 350s
Take something else if:
- You're going to Kedarnath, Chopta, Badrinath or Auli — 169 mm of clearance and 17-inch wheels are wrong for those roads; take a Himalayan
- This is your first motorcycle — forty horsepower arriving at 8,000 rpm on a wet Rishikesh hairpin is not a beginner's environment
- You want long range — the 11-litre tank is the smallest of our motorcycles, around 320 km, realistically 280 before you start worrying
Best Rides on a Guerrilla From Tapovan
- Devprayag — ~75 km of good tarmac along the Ganga. The best road in the region for this bike. Route guide →
- Tehri Lake — ~80 km. Sweeping lake road, almost no traffic midweek. Route guide →
- Kunjapuri sunrise — 25 km of tight switchbacks before dawn. Route guide →
- Mussoorie & Dhanaulti — 180 km. A proper day out. Route guide →
- Neelkanth Mahadev — 32 km through Rajaji forest. Route guide →
Riding Notes, Honestly
The Guerrilla wants revs in a way no other bike in our fleet does. The 350s pull from 2,500 rpm; this one comes alive at 5,000 and is still climbing at 8,000. If you ride it like a Classic, short-shifting everywhere, you'll wonder what the fuss is about.
The 11-litre tank is the compromise for that low, slim shape. On a day out to Tehri and back you'll fill up twice. Plan for it.
Liquid-cooled means it doesn't mind sitting in Tapovan traffic on a hot afternoon the way the air-cooled bikes do.
