Bike Rental in Rishikesh

Rishikesh is a bad town to be without a vehicle and a very good one to have two wheels in.

The distances are just far enough to be annoying on foot — Tapovan to Ram Jhula is three kilometres, the Beatles Ashram is eight, Neer Waterfall six — and the auto fares add up faster than people expect. A scooty is ₹500 a day, which is roughly what you'll spend on two auto trips, and it removes the negotiation entirely.

Rishikesh is really three or four places, and where you rent from matters more than people realise.

If you're staying in Tapovan or around Laxman Jhula — rent here. You're already on the upper stretch of the right bank, past the town traffic, and the road north toward Devprayag and Badrinath runs straight past you. You don't have to cross the river to leave town.

If you're staying in Swarg Ashram or near Ram Jhula — you're on the other bank, in the ashram district. Getting out toward the hills means coming back through the bottleneck at Muni Ki Reti. We deliver to Ram Jhula free; whether that suits you depends on how much of your riding is out of town.

If you're in Rishikesh town, near Triveni Ghat or the bus stand — this is the busiest, least pleasant part of the city on two wheels, and it's five to eight kilometres from everything most visitors actually come for. We'll deliver, or meet you when you arrive.

If you're heading straight into the mountains — Tapovan is the right starting point regardless of where you slept. The Badrinath highway begins here.

The roads are good, the traffic isn't. Uttarakhand's highways are well surfaced. The lanes around Laxman Jhula and Tapovan market are narrow, steep in places, and full of pedestrians, cows and monkeys. Ride slowly in town and enjoy yourself once you're out of it.

Helmets are enforced. Both riders. We give you two, and the traffic police on the Haridwar road do check.

Monsoon changes everything. July to mid-September brings landslides, closed sections and genuinely dangerous descents. We'll rent to you, but ask us about road conditions before you commit to a route, and don't ride the ghats after dark in the rain.

Fuel gets sparse quickly. In Rishikesh there are plenty of pumps. Past Devprayag they thin out and close early. Fill up before you leave town.

Cows own the road. This isn't a joke and it's the single most common cause of a rental scrape here. They stop without warning, and they don't move.

Commercial registration is not optional. A rental two-wheeler in Uttarakhand must be commercially registered. Plenty of shops rent private bikes because they're cheaper — the insurance won't cover you, and the Char Dham checkposts turn them back. All 35+ of ours are registered. Ask to see the RC.
