Rishikesh to Spiti Bike Rental
Shorter and, in places, rougher than the Ladakh run — Spiti is the trip a lot of our Himalayan riders do instead of, or before, Ladakh. Same bike, same prep, different route.
Which Bike for Spiti
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 → — ₹2,000/day. Kaza, Kunzum La, the Chandratal detour — this is where the liquid-cooled engine and the extra suspension travel earn their price.
The Himalayan 411 → at ₹1,400/day still does this route — plenty of riders take it — but it works harder on the broken sections past Nako.

A Typical Route From Rishikesh
The common approach from our shop runs Rishikesh → Shimla → Narkanda → Sarahan → Reckong Peo → Nako → Tabo → Kaza, with the Chandratal detour added if the pass is open and weather cooperates, then either the reverse route back or exiting via Manali if road conditions allow (Kunzum La–Rohtang side depends heavily on the season — check with us before committing to that exit).
What's Different About a Spiti Rental
- Book ahead. Spiti trips cluster around the same short summer window everyone else rides it in — May through early October, roads permitting — and our Himalayans go first in that window.
- Long-rental rates apply. A Rishikesh–Spiti loop usually runs 7–10 days. Ask for a quote rather than the daily rate.
- We check the bike harder than usual before it leaves — brakes and tyres specifically, given how much of this route is loose surface rather than tarmac.
- Fuel planning matters more here than anywhere else we rent to. We'll talk you through where the reliable pumps are before you leave — it's not a route to guess on; long stretches between Reckong Peo and Kaza have no fuel available.
