Royal Enfield Classic 350 on Rent in Tapovan, Rishikesh

This is the bike the trip already looks like in your head.

Chrome tank, sprung single seat, that long-stroke thump echoing off the rock wall on the Devprayag road. The Classic 350 is what most people mean when they say they want to rent a Bullet in Rishikesh, and it's the most photographed thing in our yard by a distance.

It's also a genuinely good motorcycle for what you'll do here. Twenty-seven newton-metres arriving at 4,000 rpm means you can leave it in third for most of a ghat road. It'll sit at 80 on the Badrinath highway all day without fuss. And it's comfortable in a way the lighter bikes aren't, which matters at hour six.

Who It's For

Take the Classic if:

  • You want the Royal Enfield experience, not just a Royal Enfield
  • You're riding long tarmac days — Devprayag, Tehri, Mussoorie, the Badrinath highway
  • You're two-up — the Classic's seat and subframe handle a pillion better than the Hunter's
  • You've ridden a geared motorcycle before
  • You're going to take photographs, and you know it

Take something else if:

  • You're under about 5'6" — at 805 mm and 195 kg, getting a foot down on a camber is a real consideration; the Hunter is 15 mm lower and 14 kg lighter
  • You're heading past Rudraprayag toward Kedarnath or up to Chopta — take a Himalayan
  • Your riding is mostly Tapovan lanes and market runs — the Classic is hard work below 20 km/h

Riding Notes, Honestly

The Classic is heavy and the weight is carried high. At speed it's planted and lovely; at walking pace in Tapovan market it's a handful, and the first time you have to duck-walk it backwards out of a parking gap on a slope you'll understand why we keep suggesting the Hunter.

The 19-inch front wheel makes it stable and unhurried through corners. It also means it doesn't change direction quickly, so read the hairpins early.

Air-cooled and long-geared: it's happiest cruising, least happy stuck in traffic on a hot afternoon. Give it air.

What You Need

Original two-wheeler driving licence and one government photo ID. From abroad: home country licence, International Driving Permit issued before you travelled, passport. ₹3,000 deposit, refunded in full when the bike comes back undamaged with a full tank. Full documents guide →

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a Royal Enfield on rent in Rishikesh?
Our Classic 350 is ₹1,300 a day, ₹1,200 a day from three days, ₹1,100 a day from seven. The Hunter 350 is ₹1,200 and the Himalayans are ₹1,400 to ₹2,000. Fuel isn't included.
Is a Classic 350 the same as a Bullet?
Not quite. They're both Royal Enfields with a 349cc single, but the Bullet 350 and Classic 350 are separate models with different styling. Most people asking for a Bullet in Rishikesh want the Classic, which is what we rent.
Can a beginner ride a Classic 350?
If you've ridden a geared motorcycle before, yes. If you've only ever ridden a scooter, start on the Hunter — 195 kg on a wet hairpin is not where you want to learn clutch control.
Can I take it on the Char Dham route?
Yes. It's commercially registered, so it passes every checkpost, and thousands of people do the circuit on Classics each season. Just know that the last stretches into Kedarnath and Badrinath are much easier on a Himalayan.
What mileage does it give in the hills?
33–37 kmpl. Thirteen litres gets you a real 400 km, but refuel at every pump past Devprayag.
Is it comfortable for two people?
Yes, more so than anything else we rent at this price. Two helmets come as standard.
Do you have Classic 500s or Meteors?
Our 350cc fleet is the Classic and the Hunter. Ask us what's in the yard — with 35+ vehicles we can often sort something specific.
