You've come off the overnight train from Delhi, or the bus from Haridwar, and you're standing outside with a bag, being quoted a fare to Tapovan.
Message us before you arrive and there'll be a bike ready when you get to where you're staying — no negotiating, no second trip out to find a rental shop after you've unpacked.
Rishikesh Station and Bus Stand to Tapovan
Rishikesh Railway Station is roughly 8 km from Tapovan and the Laxman Jhula area. Autos and shared vehicles wait outside; expect to negotiate. The route runs through the town and Muni Ki Reti.
Rishikesh Bus Stand (ISBT) is roughly 5 km out, through the same stretch.
Haridwar is about 25 km away, and a much larger station with far better connections. Many people arriving from Delhi come to Haridwar and take a bus or taxi from there.
Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun) is around 35 km, roughly an hour.
Our honest advice: take an auto or taxi from the station to your accommodation, and have us bring the bike to you there. Riding an unfamiliar rental through Rishikesh town with luggage, straight off an overnight journey, is not the way to start a trip. The delivery is free.

We bring the bike
To your guesthouse, hostel, ashram or yoga school — free anywhere in Tapovan, Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula and three kilometres around. Two helmets, tool kit, papers, and ten minutes going through the vehicle with you.
Arriving very late or very early? We're open 9 AM to 9 PM, but tell us your timing in advance and we'll usually work around it.

Bring These With You
Indian riders — original two-wheeler driving licence and one government photo ID. Deposit ₹1,000 scooty, ₹3,000 motorcycle.
International riders — home country licence with a motorcycle entitlement, an International Driving Permit issued in your own country before you flew, and your passport.

Coming Via Haridwar
Haridwar has far more trains than Rishikesh and is about 25 km away — most people from Delhi arrive there. Buses and shared taxis to Rishikesh run frequently and take under an hour.
People ask whether to rent in Haridwar and ride up. We'd say no. It's a busy 25 km on a road you don't know, with luggage, and Haridwar's rental market is smaller. Come up first, then rent.
What to Do on Arrival Day
If you land in the morning with energy left:
- Tapovan market and the ghats — 2 km, an hour, get your bearings.
- Neer Garh Waterfall — 6 km uphill, a short first ride and a good way to get used to the bike.
