Thirty-five vehicles, all of them ours, all of them commercially registered. That last part matters more than it sounds: Uttarakhand requires a rental two-wheeler to carry a commercial registration, and the checkposts on the Char Dham and Chopta routes check for it. A cheap private-plate rental will get you turned around at Sonprayag.

All 35+ of our bikes and scooties are commercially registered, which is what the law requires for a rental two-wheeler in Uttarakhand and what the Char Dham checkposts look for. Ask to see the RC before you take the bike — we'd rather you checked us than took our word for it.
Free delivery, free collection
Anywhere in Tapovan, Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula and 3 km around. You don't have to find us, and you don't have to ride back across the bridge to return the bike on your last morning.

A Tapovan Bike Shop, Since 2018
Hem Tiwari opened Bike Rentals Tapovan in 2018 with a handful of bikes. We now run 35+ motorcycles and scooties out of Ghugtyani Malli — all owned by us, serviced by us, and ridden by us on the same roads we rent them for.
We're not a booking platform taking a cut from whoever has a bike free. When you call, you get the shop. When something goes wrong at Devprayag at nine at night, you get the same people.
Open every day, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Walk in, or tell us where you're staying and we'll bring the bike.
